How do I get footage of Kingdom Hearts?

I actually replayed Kingdom Hearts II recently, and now I'm considering making a new video using it. Looking back, the capture method that I used in my original KH video is pretty flawed in some ways. A lot of visual detail was lost to the DV conversion during capture. I just bought a small USB capture thingy for $11 off ebay. I'll test it tonight let y'all know how well that works out.

Neat! Did you get the EasyCAP capture device? Are you using VirtualdubMod?

Is there interlacing when you capture? That's the thing that bugs me the most. It screws up the quality a lot. :/

I have an older version of The Pinnacle Movie Box that is version 12, I have version 10....

Interlacing seems to be an issue with the in-game cut scenes, but for the intro and the opening credits I didn't seem to have that problem... so the method isn't perfect, but it seems to be pretty good...

Yeah, the in-game cutscenes are what I need. After playing around with the capture device some more, I'm still a bit dissatisfied with the quality. I think the quality bottleneck is the AV cable. The capture stick has an S-video connector, so I might upgrade my PS2 cable from AV to S-video and see what happens. I need a new cable anyway...

awww... I donno if it means anything but I'm playing off of a PS3 so I dont know how that will effect the quality O.o

I think playing it on PS3 automatically sets it to 480i, and whatnot, I know there was a huge thread about recording PS2 games from PS3...hrm...
