JOURNAL: mirkosp (Mirko Spanò)

  • @Nya 2011-08-20 06:00:31 Why yes, very happy. :D
  • Code 2010-04-12 13:58:55 Tales games are awesome. Best one is Symphonia for the GCN, imho. Vesperia is also awesome so far. I wanna try Graces when it'll come out, which should be this summer in EU. As for others, I played Dawn of the New World for the Wii, but it doesn't hold comparison with the original Symphonia although it's still nice.
  • @ Code 2010-03-22 14:34:20 Italian system, and I would guess probably most other European systems, provides us with a lot of free stuff depending on your diseases, and most intervents only require you to pay a ticket (which is of a ridiculously low price considering what the whole sum would be). I don't see why you Americans can't have the same too. Of course, the amount of the taxes (well, actually, in our right there's a distinction between "imposte" and "tasse," and these would actually fit in the former category, but apparently American right doesn't have this distinction) is somewhat high, but considering what you'd have to spend on medicines and intervents, doing the sum of your taxes will hardly cover what you'd have to otherwise pay yourself. My asthma would require me to spend a few hundreds of euros every year, but in reality I probably spend 10 or 20 euros total for it. So yeah, I'd be quite happy if you could be in such a situation too, and I don't see why it wouldn't work, as it does just fine for me. :)
  • C is for Code 2010-03-05 01:29:16 I do read 'em titles... :°D
  • @Code 2010-02-09 19:32:15 Not that your video needed a particularly high bitrate to begin with. :P
It was mostly static scenes with big areas with basic colors, so it was pretty easy to compress. And your framerate was just 19.181 fps.
Although, I'm a bit surprised to see that amvsimple gui uses a pretty old revision of x264. It looks like it uses r1292, so it doesn't even have weightp. To put it in simple words, it lacks various quality, speed, and compression improvements that have been in made in these few months (r1292 was in october I think). Updating the gui every time a new x264 version is released isn't really worth it, to be honest, but at least for the biggest updates it could be. That or perhaps having some kind of auto-update function of sorts, albeit I'm not sure how hard it is to implement that.
