- Profile: Hello, my nickname is Ann and my real name is a mystery.
My editing origin story....... is as generic as many of you could find. My older brother showed me a DBZ linking park amv back in 2008 or 2009 (I tracked it down and it's my 1st ranked fav amv! I love it very dearly!) and was really impacted on this format. Though I was like 7 years old so I had no clue how to make anything like it. Many years passed by and I became an Anime Fan™ and was obsessed with One Piece amvs. As soon as I got my first personal laptop, I made my first AMVs in mid 2014 (It was a Nico Robin tribute with the song "Injection" by Rise Against. It was also very poorly made in Camtasia Studio 7) but sadly those are lost to time. However I joined the editing community of youtube in 2015 and I've been doing parts of MEPs ever since.
I've created an account here for archiving my actual AMVs from now on, but the community has been pretty nice so I hope to enjoy my time here whenever I'm more active.
I do struggle a lot with motivation, especially with anything longer than 7sec (Got too used to YT meps oof) but I still love editing so I always come back to do more. I'm just very lazy with longer videos so my activity might be low.
My interests?? both in anime and music, they're all over the place. I mean, you can check that MESS of a list down below of my favorite animes. But at least it's quite varied.
As for animanga; Delinquent (Yankii/bancho/sukeban), Adult cast, Shoujo, Romance (GL & BL included), anything from 70's to 00's, female coming-of-age stories.
As for music; Punk, Rock, Funk, (and every variation and combination between those three), Soft rock, Metal, Tango, Orchestral Tango, Milongas, Argentine Folklore, Classical music, cheesy love songs, indie, pop, citypop, synthwave, most classics from 70's and 80's. Also a mixture of all the above in english and spanish.
*other* unrelated interests?? Mahjong, amateur lyric translations, drawing, gaming, desktop personalization, lost media searching and studying things related to space, history, anthropology and bugs.
