  • Profile: About me:
My name is really Misty Caldwell, no relation to a certain famous AMV maker named Kevin Caldwell. I am using my name instead of some cool alias because I want to be known as really me since I enter conventions and it makes it easier for people to find your videos and download them this way.

I graduated Ohio U in Athens Ohio. Despite the party school rep, people actually learn stuff. I have used a mac in a broadcast setting and I much MUCH prefer it when it comes to editing. I've worked at a TV station and a radio station, but it was almost clinical. No creativity.

At home I use a windows system. I use Media studio Pro 7.

I have used Premiere 5.0, 5.5, and 6.0, Media studio 6, Media 100 for Mac, IFinish (media 100 studio for windows basically) and.....two beta VTRs with a time code machine attached to a character generator and an editing board. You can laugh at me, I am old enough to have used that. Wait, I am only 26.....or is that old fogey status around here?

I have made stuff other than AMV's. Some pretty funny commercials and bits, but AMV.org is no place to host them. Killer furbies, Godzilla spoof, and a *poorly* animated smoking PSA to name a few

My first anime music video was a Dragonball video, that was in 1997. The first animated music video I ever made was a Gargoyles video. I still have it. It sucks. At the time it was ultra cool. Ah the shame.

I actually thought what I was doing was original. I had never seen someone else's amv before. It wasn't long after that I discovered Otakon.

I have since won a couple titles, hosted an AMV panel, and made lots of cool friends. You know who you are ^_^
