• Comments: I heard this song on TV from an Allstate insurance commercial. For me, the past 3-4 years have been kind of rough. My dad died, a year later my grandpa passed away, and last year my cat, for 9 years, Isabel, passed away after becoming sick while I was away at Anime Expo. And I've had all sorts of issues this year. Anyway, for me the song sparks all these memories of what i've lost.
  
  I decided to use 5cm and BotC together because the styles are very similar and i believed the characters looked very much alike, i could use that as an advantage. To me, all of Makoto Shinkai's creations have this element of loneliness and separation and I wanted to use that. Plus, it's something i've been experiencing a lot lately.
