  I think one of the greatest concepts in Elfen Lied is Lucy's innocence. Is she a monster, or was she made to be a monster by the people around her? This is the main idea behind the video. A life of loneliness where other people only show you cruelty is enough to drive anyone into a mind of hatred. Lucy is unable to forgive others for what they did to her and uses her powers to destroy them. She does terrible things, but we made her that way. We are the true monsters.
