  • Comments: I made this video because I like the song. While listening to it, the only source I could think of was Paprika. While I think the animation is nice, I really didn't like Paprika all that much. Perhaps it just didn't make sense to me. That said, this video isn't supposed to make sense. My interpretation of Paprika is that everything was a dream. So, think of this video in a similar way. There's no story to it and there's no real structure of a "concept". Dreams are like that... well, at least mine are. Many times, my dreams will start one way and become completely different. Sometimes they feel just as real as every day life until I wake up. Sometimes I wake up from a dream and I'm still dreaming.

So I guess that's what I was trying to to do here. The effect I used in the beginning and the end of the video are there mostly because I felt like I needed something there but it also serves another purpose. Many times when I'm dreaming I can see that something is different. This is the purpose of the effect, to make it look different. Then once the dream picks up, I am lost into that dream and many times I don't realize I'm dreaming anymore, thus everything looks normal. So the end is really just signifying that, no he didn't wake up, he's still dreaming. The title is called "In a Dream" for a reason after all. I also repeat previously used scenes, This is more or less signifying the re-occurrence of a dream or repetition of events during a single dream cycle.

I will also point out that I did cut the audio a bit. There are a total of three cuts, one more noticeable than the others. This is because I wanted to and I feel like it adds to my idea. I doubt others will feel the same but screw you, its how I wanted it :P

I hope that made sense, if not, I hope you enjoy it none-the-less.
