In 2012 I lost the Sakuracon Iron Editor to Castor Troy... Castor Troy was supposed to go to Sakuracon 2013... he didn't. So, I become the defacto reigning champion or something... Anyway, I was to defend my title against a new challenger: Gemma, also known as Narshial. I was totally stoked when I found out it was her cause she's one of my favorite editors.
Anyway, I was completely unprepaired the competition was stressing out all weekend. I was editing the full 2 hours and feel like I could've done so much better with more time/preparation. Anyway I was sure Gemma was going to win. She made a fantastic 3 minute video in 2 hours but, alas, I was named the winner and now I have to do this shit all over again in 2014 >.<
The video kind of sucks honestly. It's note completely terrible but it's not all that great. I ended up using a song I edited together from the NDK 2010 intro. The details of the competition:
