• Comments: Welcome to my second AMV, Mushroom Samba!
  
  This video features the well-known fight between Spike and Electra in Cowboy Bebop – The Movie, with a spicy soundtrack from the brazilian band Mestre Ambrósio. Fret not, Yankees, it is an instrumental song. The title is, as you know, the name of one of the episodes from the Cowboy TV series. Since it is a brazilian song, and it was made by a brazilian AMV creator, the “samba” was simply the obvious choice.
  
  My goal when making this AMV was to try out my skills at editing audio (the original song was much longer) and matching audio-video to produce an action AMV. I think I was very successful at both goals. My inspiration was Caffeine Encomium by Kevin Caldwell, if you liked this style of video, you must see his.
  
  Basically, I tried to cut as few scenes as possible from the fight sequence – almost every sync you see was made through speed changing rather than replacing clips. In some parts, especially the final sequence, I edited the song instead of the video to produce the sync, leaving the original video sequence untouched. That was fun! Because of this focus, I haven’t used even a single digital effect – it is all nice, simple editing.
  
  If you care to know, the song is a “forró”, an unique style of music from Brazil. It is supposed to be danced by a couple, so it is very funny to see Spike and Electra fighting by this song.
