maya hardware set up
ok i have maya 6.0 and in like a week or so i well be in the market to buy maya 8.0 and i was just wondering if the system that i had was able to run it . core duo 2.6ghz 4 gigz of ocz ddr2 ps2 6400 ram and a 1tb hard drive, please help with my promble befor i buy it.

What video card will you be using?
I don't have Maya, but I'm assuming the video card you have will factor whether you'll be able to run it. Looking at this link you'll need one of those cards at minimum.
I'm assuming you'll need a Workstation class videocard (such as a Quadro) for best performance, but I guess some current consumer videocards will work too.
Since I don't use Maya hopefully someone with more experience can chime in.
