a shattered glass effect

hi everyone,
i chanced upon a very interesting effect (the glass thing),and i was wondering if it could be done with vegas,and how.i am calling it an effect loosely since i have no idea as to what it really is,maybe a template or sth .if it is sth that is not created but downloaded please give me a link from which i can do that,or download other stuff similar to it.

Definitely looks like something created in AE to be honest.

Yeah, can try to make it with pluginpac if you have older sv or maybe wax for bit newer ones http://www.debugmode.com/wax/ , not sure if its still usable in newer sv ,tho o;. After Effects is more comfortable way for stuff like this or some 3d program. If you are uper lazy might search for glass stuff in google .

i installed wax but there was this"check if you can read scripts" problem,and then sometimes it crashes is after effects the only good way to do this?its not easy to learn AE

yes yes yes please!! but i am using vegas 11,don't think there is much difference though

It is pretty easy. First open the Pan/Crop of your video that you will use for your AMV. Secondly, with your Anchor Creation, do the number you want of triangle. After pass 10 to 15 frame, and change the position by moving the triangles or/and make rotations. You can add colors and effects. Like what I did, I put the triangles behind the mask. If you have problem, ask me.

yeah sure ,but r u talking about the full amv or just the effect,because the amv will take a long time to get finished (being as lazy as iam and the wether being so hot my pc will explode)so don't get bored
